Hi! My name is Ivy and I would love to help you feel better in your body! My journey to bodywork came about as an unintended (yet joyous) side effect of my passion for circus arts and turned into an ikigai and career. As an aerialist, I was already fascinated by and familiar with how the body works, what it’s capable of, and how often it breaks down. Despite having a lifelong fascination with alternative medicine, self-studying everything from ayurveda and reiki to functional neurology, it wasn’t until a few years after becoming a performing artist that I decided to pursue massage as a career. 

I chose to attend Bodymechanics School of Myotherapy and Massage because, unlike other schools in the area, their program focused heavily on medical and sports massage with an emphasis on results based bodywork. I fell in love with the puzzles and problem solving inherent in resolving pain and mobility issues. I approach each client with their goals in mind and tailor my treatment to address the root cause of their issues instead of just treating symptoms. Using elements of deep tissue, sports massage, Thai massage, trigger point therapy and Sarga (deep myofascial release using the feet) I can help to address every layer of my clients dysfunctions.

 

Feeling pain with strenuous or even everyday movement should not be the status quo. I have successfully treated clients who are recovering from surgeries, who are experiencing whiplash, frozen shoulder, chronic low back pain, chronic knee pain and countless other conditions, helping them restore movement and eliminate pain.
